Will Cheung.
System Architect · Head of Technology

From business complexity
to systems that work.

I design and build business systems—from domain requirements and cloud architecture to engineering execution and production delivery.

Architecture

Business domains, system boundaries, integrations and AWS infrastructure.

Engineering leadership

Technical direction, team practices, vendor review and delivery.

Hands-on delivery

Backend engineering, cloud operations and full-stack implementation.

Architecture approach

Decisions with a reason.

Design for today’s load. Preserve tomorrow’s scale.

At EcoHope, uncertain early traffic made low idle cost important. Serverless compute supported this while retaining room for growth. This also meant accounting for database connections, asynchronous work and release coordination.

Business boundaries come before technology boundaries.

I begin with business rules, workflows and data ownership, then decide how application and integration boundaries should support them.

AI should amplify engineering judgement.

Shared architectural context, requirement clarification, approved plans, local testing and human review are part of the development workflow.

About Will

An architect who stays
close to implementation.
